"Volume III - Capricornus and its Decan Constellations"

Capricornus and its Decan Constellations.

Sagitta

There is no representation for Sagitta noticeable on the Denderah Zodiac, but as seen above the Denderah Zodiac figure for Hercules shows him holding a spear like object rather than a scepter as other figures do.    One source claims that this is a mace.
Since Sagitta is seen as an object that is used, it may not be a netjeru.

Sagitta may be the arrow in the hands of a deity or possibly Hercules on the Grand Temple located above Decan 16-17.

As seen above Draco on the Grand Temple can be seen located above Decan 17 with a chain attached to a bull-like animal (Ursa Major).

Draco with a crocodile on its back with a folded feather on its wrist, while holding a chain attached to the leg of an animal (Ursa Major) as seen on the lower section of ESNE Plate 87.

On lower section of ESNE Plate 87 between Capricornus and Sagittarius is a figure which probably represents Hercules who is holding the spear which is Sagitta.
Anhur (Onuris) meaning "He Who Brings the Distant One," and was an ancient god of war and hunting whose origin is This in Upper Egypt, near Abydos.    He was depicted in bearded, human form and carrying four feathers on his head, a spear or sometimes a lance lifted high in one or both hands.    His consort is Mekhit (See Hat-Mehit).

One source claims that on Denderah Decan 2 seen below shown on the head of the humble Ram is the arrow.

I cannot see any arrow, but only a star above the ram’s sun disk crowned head.    Perhaps it is an illusion of the hieroglyphics in alignment above the star.

Star name is a Sham, Alsahm.

Rolleston stated that, "Hebrew Scham, means destroying (desolate - Ezek. 35:12)."
    Desolate.
Hebrew shamem, shaw-mame', a primary root, to stun, thus desolate.
In "The Witness of the Stars," by E.W. Bullinger, page 80 "The Hebrew name is Sham, destroying, or desolate."
