"Volume III - Scorpius and its Decan Constellations"

Scorpius and its Decan Constellations.

Decan 9-10

Decan 10 is seen as a mummified figure with a lion-like face with the (Hedjet) white crown of Upper Egypt on its head.    It has two flails with one on each shoulder, grasped by both hands against the chest, the flail and crook is a symbol of royalty, majesty and dominion.    In front of its legs are two stars aligned vertically.
Since Decan 10 is seen as a netjeru in human mummified form, which represents old age or the setting sun concept of a spiritual understanding.

Osiris is sometimes seen as a lion-headed mummy, so with the flails, it has some connection with Grand Temple Decan 11.

The hieroglyphs are what may be
the neter sign, Egypt. ntr.w, god,
and then the leg sign, Egypt. b,
and next as either
    two water signs, Egypt. nn,
or a single water sign, Egypt. n,
and an Egyptian sign for y,
followed by a star.
Therefore it would read as this
[ntr.w b-nn or ntr.w b-n-y].

I have entertained the thought that the hieroglyph [ntr.w b-nn or ntr.w b-n-y] above could be Neter bennu reflecting the calendar month of Scorpius for the Egyptian day 12, Gregorian: Oct. 28, Julian: Nov. 11, as the festival "Day of Transformation into the Bennu Bird" (Phoenix).

Amset (Imsety, Mestha, Ameshet) son of Horus, seen as a mummified man,

Hapy (Ahephi), son of Horus, seen as a mummified man with a baboon head.

In Egypt Hapi was the god of the source of the Nile.

    Also seen as:

  • Semite Ramanu, "The Exalted," and also as Rammanu, "The God of the Storm," connected to the Vedic Indra.
  • Hebrew Rimmon, i.e. Ramman, and then Hadad.

From www.siloam.net/denderah it claims that Denderah Decan 8, 9, and 10 represented as Thoth-Osiris are entitled as "Primordial Instincts."    "This process is the beginning of the whole cycle represented by the baboon of Thoth (see Denderah Decan 8), at the altar of animal instincts (see Denderah Decan 9), we see the man of Osiris (see Denderah Decan 10)."

Compared to Denderah Decan 10, where we find a major connection as to the flail, the Osiris mummy, and the two stars.

Grand Temple Decan 11 as seen on Osiris image, the shepherd’s crooked end scepter but also seen as the Egyptian waas-scepter in his left hand and in his right hand a flail on his right shoulder with the Osiris crown emblem.    The crooked end scepter is also seen on Grand Temple Decan 1 and 11.

Osiris (Ausar) god of the dead and resurrection into eternal life was the son of Nut and Geb, brother of Set, Isis and Nephthys.    His sons were Horus and Anubis.

On Senmut's Tomb the hieroglyph for Osiris is .

On the Denderah Zodiac, Orion is seen as a male figure wearing the (Hedjet) white crown of Upper Egypt.    In his right hand is a flail, which is over his right shoulder and the Egyptian waas-scepter in his left hand.

Its name is seen as     Khentet heret, Khentet-hert, or Khentet herijet,
the first three signs are the Egyptian Khentet, also seen on Grand Temple Decan 10-13,
and then followed by the face sign, Egypt. hr,
next the mouth sign, Egypt. r,
then the bread loaf sign, Egypt. t,
followed by a star.
Thus we read this as [Khentet hr-r-t].
As seen on "http://home.main.rr.com/imyunnut/Den.Round.html" by Joanne Conman, Khentet means "to travel southward" or "upstream."    Ipsd (i.e. Ipedjes), meaning "The Doorbolt of the Sanctuary," is the closest name that may connect to this Decan.    As can be seen on Denderah Decan 13 the sequence of stars are the names Sebshesan (Libra), Ipedjes, and Weshaty-Bekaty.

    Khent is seen on Grand Temple Decan 10, 11, 12, 13, 25, 26 and 27.
Heret is also seen on Grand Temple Decan 6 and 11.

The deity is seen as     Hor (Heru), also seen on Decan 8.

    Associated with SCORPIUS, SELKET,

and Centaurus as Rigel Centaurus.
