KA

the double.
    To return to the
Taurus Decan (The hieroglyphic origin of Ka),
Akhu (associated with the Ka and Ba),
Khnum (crafted the ka on his potter's wheel at a persons birth),
Denderah Serpent Crypts (association with the crypt),
List of Netjeru.
Ka the double that lingered on in the tomb inhabiting the body or even statues of the deceased, but was also independent of man and could move, eat, drink at will.    There was both a higher, guardian angel like Ka and lower Ka that came from knowledge learned on earth.    The word 'ka' maybe a pun on the particle for the verb for the word 'you'.
Cyril Fagan claims, "K3 (ka) is bull, also phallus, soul and regarded as the most fertile zodiac sign."
See Sepdet (Septet, Sopdet, dog star: Sirius, Gr. Sothis) for an image of the Ka as a hawk figure.

The hieroglyphic origin is not noted here, but it is definetly a sign for a bull.    Likely this is the sign for Ka translated as "soul" or "spirit," which comes into existence when an individual is born.    It is believed that the ram-headed god Khnum crafted the ka on his potter's wheel at a persons birth.
    Demotic is Ka      Taurus Sign.
