x Grafias, is located in the left claw.
- It is noted as seen in Scorpius star name b Acrab, "crab," or the rarer name is Graffias meaning "claws," is located in the head of the Scorpion as it means in the Arabic name for the constellation.
s Al Niyat another word in Arabic for "the arteries," near the heart of Scorpius.
- It also has a meaning of "support/shield of the heart."
t Scorpii (no name), also identified with Al Niyat.
w Jabhat al Akrab, "scorpion's forehead."

All of which round out the 23 stars in the constellation of Scorpius.
Other objects of interest in Scorpius include two globular clusters, M4 and M80, which are close to Antares. Near the tip of the tail we can also see an open cluster, M6 and a much larger open cluster M7.

- Sumerian SHAR -U -GIN, usually translated: Sharu-Gin or "The Universal Lord, The Ruler." Shar, U and Gin are well-known Sumerian syllabic signs, thus these three inscriptions from the tomb of the Predynastic Pharaoh Gin, Sha-Gin or Sharu-Gin at Abydos, the tomb of himself and his Queen, with his solar title of Kad - and we have seen that "Sargon" was a famous Sun-worshipper. The translation below is up for grabs.

- Sumerian um, one source claims it means "overlord," which is possible only if the words for the Sumerian um: (cf., umu), are associated with Akkadian and Semitic loanwords.

- GIN, ruler, is iffy.
- Sumerian gín: hatchet, axe; shekel (of silver) (Akk. kînu 'true measure').

- Sumerian aggina, aggin, agina: military governor (ag4, 'guts', + gi-na, 'steady, reliable').
