Sixth Day of Sivan - Pentecost, or Feast of Weeks:
Tropical: Apr. 15-May 14, Gregorian: May 15-June 13, Julian: May 29-June 27.
- In Judaism it is Shavuot (Shabuoth) of Law it commemorates the giving of the Law to Moses and the Israelites on Mount Sinai (Hebrew sabuot, from sabua, week).
- The occasion also celebrates the firstfruits of the wheat harvest.
- To Christians this is the seventh Sunday after Easter, which commemorates the Resurrection of Jesus, observed on the first Sunday following the full moon that occurs on or next after March 21, it comes from the Greek word meaning fiftieth (day).
Sivan (se-van', Esther 8:9 (si'-van) "in the third month, that is, the month Si'-van").
- Hebrew Çiyvan, see-vawn', also çiwan, probably of Persian origin.
The third Hebrew month and the ninth of the Jewish calendar.
- Akkadian Simanu.
- One source claims that Sivanu (May-June) in Akkad this month was called:
- Mun-ga, "The Making-of-Bricks."
- Kas, "the Twins."
- Canaanite derivation is "appoint," "mark."

When SIPA.ZI.AN.NA rises, the fire-arrow-Sagittarius PA.BIL.SAG sets. The rise of the steer of heaven GU4.AN.NA to SIP.ZI.AN.NA is 20 days, to the Lance 35 days. The opposite is of the Leopard UD.KA.DUCH.A. The moon path is SIPA.ZI.ANN.NA and MASH.TAB.BA.GAL.GAL."

In the Tablets from pre-Sargonic (before 2334 B.C.) the Calendar of Ur give us nine month names, however their order is not known. The following is one of those nine names:
- 3) Sumerian itiab-gir-gu7-dEn-ki-ka, which may derive as meaning in Sumerian as such
(iti, month + ab, window; niche, lake, sea/ áb, cow + gir, young mare, heifer/ gir10, anger, fury + gu7, consumed + dEn-ki-ka, Divine Lord of the Earth),
so a good guess at this would be "The Month that the Lord of the Earth consumed all with the Fury of the Sea."
This tends to reflect my viewpoint that the Deluge occurred in the Gemini constellation time frame between 6,000-5500 B.C.
- Sumerian itud, itid, itu, iti, id8; it4, id4: moon; month; moonlight (te, 'to approach, meet', + ud, 'sun').
- Sumerian ab: window; niche (cf., aba).
- Sumerian aba, ab: lake; sea.
- Sumerian áb: domestic cow.
- Sumerian ab-(ba): (cf., aba).
- Sumerian ab-ba: father; elder; ancestor (Akk. loanword).
- Under Virgo we find the Sumerian ab-sín: furrow ('niche' + 'to sift').
- Sumerian absin(3): (seeded) furrow (ab, 'niche', + sín, 'to sift').
- Sumerian sim, sín: to strain, filter; to sift (flour); to see through.
- Sumerian ab-ba-uru: city elder ('elder' + 'city').
- Sumerian abzu: the 'sentient' sea - the sea personified as a god (aba/ab, 'sea' + zu, 'to know').
- Window.
- Sumerian ab: window; niche (cf., aba).
- Hebrew tsohar, tso'-har, from Heb. tsahar, tsaw-har', a primary root to glisten, make oil, thus a light (i.e. window), dual double light, i.e. noon, midday, window.
- Hebrew challown, khal-lone', a window (as perforated), window.
- Hebrew arubbah, ar-oob-baw', a window.

The calendar reformed in the Ur III period by Shulgi, king of Sumer from 2094-2047 BC. Five of the pre-Sargonic month names survived the transition, and the total number of months rose from nine to twelve. The following is one of the twelve:
- Sumerian Zahx(SHESH)-da-gu7, so to see this in Sumerian is one of the more complex ones (zah, calm, flee + x, a number, value, (SHESH), indice for [brother, anoint, cry, alkaline] + da, arm, side, hold, to be near, protect + gu7, food, to eat, to feed, to nurse), your guess is as good as mine on a translation for this one. Since this is in Gemini by my account it looks like "The Two Brothers (Twins) Calmly Hold on to their Food," or "The Brothers (Giants) Flee To Protect Their Food."
- Sumerian zah: to be calm, tranquil.
- Sumerian zah2,3: to flee; to hide; to abandon; to be lost; to perish (describes workers/slaves who have fled state control).
- Sumerian x: (used as a number, value), as in the Sumerian gud-mu-x: x years-old ox ('bull, ox' + 'name, year' + number).
- Sumerian (SHESH) e, es: brother; brethren.
- Sumerian e, ses: n., myrrh; adj., bitter, brackish.
- Sumerian a-e: bitter, brackish water ('water' + 'bitter, brackish').
- Sumerian munux, mun4 [E]: alkaline, brackish.
- Sumerian e(2,4): to anoint; to rub; to erase; to be dense (reduplication class).
- Sumerian e2,3,4: to weep, cry; to mourn; to wail (reduplication class).
- Sumerian ér...e2,4: to cry ('tears' + 'to weep').
- Sumerian da: n., arm, side; v., to hold; to be near; to protect; prep., comitative suffix - with.
- Sumerian da5: to surround, beset, besiege (cf., dab).
- Sumerian má-da-ri-a; ma-da-rá-a: offering ('goat kid' + 'driven [animal]').
- Sumerian gu7, kú: n., food, sustenance; v., to eat, swallow, consume; to eat up, finish off; to feed, nurse, benefit (with -ni-).
- Sumerian gíbil: to burn; burning (gu7, 'to consume', + bil, 'to burn').
- Sumerian ur-bi...gu7: gather together to finish off ('dogs' + 'its' + 'to eat').
- SHESH and IM.SHESH.
One source claims that Guda, means a priestly class.
- Sumerian gudug, gudu4, gúda: a ritually pure priest; divinely anointed.
- Also that the word Guzala, means throne-bearer.
- Sumerian guzza: throne; chair.
- Sumerian (gi)gu-za: chair (cf., guzza).
