Sumerian Kings List - Eridug (Eridu)
In the following translation, manuscript (mss.) are referred to by the sigla used by Vincente 1995; from those listed from various other manuscript were not used; if not specified by a note, numerical data comes from other manuscript, and the information can be seen at http://ragz-international.com/sumerian_king_list.htm. Other sources are from the WELD-BLUNDELL PRISM (W-B.444), Berosus' list of pre-flood kings, and Halley's Bible Handbook, page 71.
Before the Flood, the kingship descended from heaven, the kingship was in Eridug (Eridu).
Many scholars believe that the Sumerians date to 3500 B.C., as a time they settled on the banks of the Euphrates. They had their temple at Eridu, a basic ziggurat prototype. Eridu, the first city mentioned, is the city of the water god Enki/Ea (one of the top three deities in the Sumerian pantheon). It is situated in the extreme south of Mesopotamia near the sea or a lagoon. It is said that the 'principle of agriculture' was revealed by a god to the first king of Eridu: Emmeduranki.
So the following begins the Sumerian Kings List before the Flood.

- Most sources call this city Eridu, but some call it Habur.
- King #1 is always called Alulim in Sumerian List.
- Berosus, the Babylonian priest, called king #1, Alorus, as in the city of Babylon.
- Halley's Bible Handbook, called king #1, Alulim, as in the city of Eridu.
- If the Flood occurred around 6,000 B.C. as I propose, then #1 would be Enos (Enosh) who lived to be 905 years old, and had a son Cainan at age 62 or at 162 years of age, between 7031-7331 B.C.
If king #1 with 28,800 years ruled which is based on 8 sars, claimed to be 3,600 years for each sar, is actually 3,600 days, then the value would change to around 80 years ruled. If a sar were equal to 18 years and 11 days, then it would be 148 years ruled. This puts it more in range of the birth of Enos' son, Cainan.
- In The Alpha and the Omega, Volume I
-- by Jim A. Cornwell -- Chapter Four page 350, regarding Louis Waddell's chart of Kings No. 2 (3348 B.C.) through No. 34 (2751 B.C), in the column of Sumerian Names in King Lists and Monuments, also the Babylonian List (Kish and Isin Chronicles), he shows king number 1, as without a name.
- As to the Sumerian name Alulim, (a, water, offspring, flood + lu, man + lim, thousand), I would like to take a guess, that this means "The man thousand of years before the flood."
- Sum. a, e4: n., water; watercourse, canal; seminal fluid; offspring; father; tears; flood; interj., alas!; prep., locative suffix - where; in; when - denotes movement towards or in favor of a person; def. article, nominalizing suffix for a noun or noun clause, denoting 'the'.
- Sum. á: (cf., áhi).
- Sum. a5: (cf., aka).
- Sum. lu: n., many, much; man, men, people; sheep; v., to be/make numerous, abundant; to multiply; to graze, pasture (reduplication class [?]) (cf., lug).
- Sum. lú: grown man; male; human being; someone; gentleman.
- Sum. lù: to disturb, agitate; to fluster, embarrass; to stir.
- Sum. lu5: (cf., lul).
- Sum. lul, lu5: n., liar; lie; v., to lie, deceive; adj., false; treacherous.
- Sum. allalx, alla: net, seine; crab.
- Sum. lim: (cf., lima).
- Sum. lima, limi, lim: thousand.
- Sum. dugti-lim-da: a vessel ('lives' + 'thousand' + 'with').

Also called Alalgar. |
- Most sources call this city Eridu, but some call it Habur.
- King #2 is sometimes called Alagar.
- Berosus, the Babylonian priest, called king #2, Alaparos, as in the city of Babylon.
- One source claims the meanings offered for Alaparos is "Ox of the god Uru," and "Lamb of El." "El," Assyrian for God, (and seen in Hebrew as "Elohim," "El Shaddai") was the father god.
- Halley's Bible Handbook, called king #2, Alamar, as in the city of Eridu.
- If the Flood occurred around 6,000 B.C. as I propose, then #2 would be Kenan (Cainan), who lived to be 910 years old, and had a son Mahalel at age 65 or at 165 years of age, between 6696-7196 B.C.
If king #2 with 36,000 years ruled which is based on 10 sars, claimed to be 3,600 years for each sar, is actually 3,600 days, then the value would change to around 100 years ruled. If a sar were equal to 18 years and 11 days, then it would be 185 years ruled. This puts it more in range of the birth of Kenan' son, Mahalel.
- In The Alpha and the Omega, Volume I
-- by Jim A. - As to the Sumerian name Alaljar, (alal, pipe, conduit (a, 'water', + lal, 'lift, carry') + jar, ?/gar, 'form, store, deliver, place, set down upon, make, establish, restore').
- Sum. alal: pipe, conduit (a, 'water', + lal, 'lift, carry').
- Sum. lúdub-alal-urudu: a temple servant ('to pour' + 'pipe' + 'copper').
- Sum. a, e4: n., water; watercourse, canal; seminal fluid; offspring; father; tears; flood; interj., alas!; prep., locative suffix - where; in; when - denotes movement towards or in favor of a person; def. article, nominalizing suffix for a noun or noun clause, denoting 'the'.
- Sum. á: (cf., áhi).
- Sum. a5: (cf., aka).
- Sum. lal, lá: v., to be high; to hold; to lift; to carry; to hang (from) (with -ta-); to weigh; to pay; to deduce; to strap, harness (with --); to dress oneself; to place, set; to bind (a reed pillar); to stretch, extend, reach; to load; to lessen, be few, diminish; to accuse, denounce; to fall back, retreat (cf. also, lá); adj., light, deficient; minus (cf. also, lá).
- Sum. làl: honey; date-syrup.
- Sum. jar: not found, check out gar or mar.
- Sum.gar: n., storeroom; form, appearance.
v., to store, accumulate; to deliver, deposit; to place, set down upon; to make, establish, restore (with --); to remove and set elsewhere (with -ta-) (gá-gá in marû).
- Sum. gá: basket (cf., gar); (cf., gál, gar, ge26 and ma(3)).
- Sum. á... gar: to oppress; to resist ('strength' + 'to establish').
| City |

| Eridug (Eridu) |

64,800 years |
Thus 64,800 years or 18 sar could equal 180 to 333 years if recalculated.
