Know that God loves you. To learn about His love read John 3:16 "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."

    Everybody is a sinner. Admit that YOU are a sinner. Read Romans 3:23 "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God."

    Believe that sin will keep you away from God. Read Romans 6:23 "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord."

    God forgives sin. When you admit you have sinned and sincerely ask God to forgive you, He will forgive you. Read 1 John 1:9 "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness."

    Jesus died so that all people can be saved. Read Isaiah 53:6 "We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own way; and the Lord has laid on him the iniquity of us all."

    You become a Christian when you accept Jesus as your personal savior. Read Romans 10:9 "If you confess with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe with your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."

    Prayer is very important as you think about accepting Jesus as your savior. Ask God to help you as you make this decision.
